Jay Nestle

CTO & Founder

Jay Nestle is the founder of Tempus Dynamics, a leading online research, registry, data collection, and analysis company. With a career spanning over 20 years in medical informatics, he was responsible for the development of the Interactive Autism Registry, IAN, while working as the Director of Medical Informatics, Information Technology at Kennedy Krieger Institute. His expertise in data management and analysis has been instrumental in the growth of Tempus Dynamics as a trusted partner for families and researchers.

Before founding Tempus Dynamics, Jay Nestle worked at Barry-Wehmiller, where he was LEAN certified and provided innovative manufacturing technology solutions focused on global document management and CAD technology. He was also a Cognizant Engineer at NASA JPL on the Mars Pathfinder mission, where he was the cognizant engineer for the High Gain Antenna Assembly. His experience in diverse fields has given him a unique perspective on problem-solving and has enabled him to develop cutting-edge solutions for his clients.

Apart from his professional achievements, Jay Nestle is an avid fitness, kite boarder and eFoil enthusiast. He also enjoys playing board games and role-playing games like Pathfinder and Starfinder. When not working, he loves spending time with family and friends and visiting the Outer Banks.

Tyler is a versatile professional who possesses a wealth of expertise across every platform supported by Tempus Dynamics. He has been a key player in the company’s success, having played a vital role in every stage of the development process, from data collection and project workflows to registry planning and back-end development. Tyler’s experience has enabled him to provide guidance to the Development Team, helping to drive the continuous improvement of each platform. His deep understanding of the intricacies of the various systems allows him to offer insightful feedback and recommendations that have been instrumental in enhancing the overall performance and functionality of the company’s products.

When she’s not busy coordinating projects, Danielle loves to indulge in her favorite hobbies. She is an avid mystery reader and loves to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen. Most importantly, she enjoys spending quality time with her two young daughters.

Heather is an experienced research project coordinator with a passion for understanding and helping people through research. With a B.A. in Applied Psychology, Heather has a strong background in psychology and research methodology that enables her to proficiently facilitate all fundamental aspects of workflow development. Her analytical and creative aptitudes are critical assets in her role, allowing her to integrate custom workflow features for comprehensive studies, define and validate new survey functionality, and enhance the overall synergy of a project with perceptive communication. Her ability to understand the needs of different study teams and work collaboratively with them ensures that projects run smoothly and deliver high-quality results.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Heather has a wide range of interests that keep her energized and engaged. She is an ardent rower, a talented cook, and a dedicated herb gardener. She also enjoys competitive game playing and spending time with her family, which includes her captivating daughter, zesty dogs, and lively husband. Overall, Heather is a dynamic and talented professional who brings a unique blend of skills and interests to her work as a research project coordinator. Ben is a skilled research project coordinator with a passion for managing projects from start to finish. With his meticulous attention to detail and expertise in project coordination, Ben is responsible for ensuring research projects are completed on time and within budget. At Tempus Dynamics, Ben works closely with teams to plan and develop surveys and workflows. He assists in testing and quality assurance to ensure that projects are of the highest quality. In addition, Ben is in charge of maintaining Insight, the Data Analytics and Visualization platform, which helps the company to efficiently and effectively analyze data.

Ben’s academic background in Sociology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County has given him a solid foundation in data analysis and survey techniques. This has proved invaluable in his role, where he applies his knowledge to solve complex problems and provide insightful solutions. When Ben is not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring new restaurants. With his positive attitude and dedication to his work, Ben is a true asset to the team at Tempus Dynamics.

Meet Lisa, a research project coordinator with a passion for advancing the field of research. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Notre Dame of Maryland University, Lisa has a strong foundation in statistical analysis and research practices. Her experience in previous employment has taught her the crucial role that data and analytics play in research, and she is thrilled to bring this knowledge to the table at Synapse.

As a highly organized individual, Lisa is responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of research projects, from conception to completion. Aside from her work, Lisa has a creative side that she likes to express through reading and baking. She also cherishes quality time spent with her husband, son, and two lucky dogs.

Logan graduated from UMBC in 2014 with a BS in Computer Science. He is an adaptive problem-solver who excels at forward thinking and engineering elegant solutions to complex challenges. His creativity and attention to detail allow him to create solutions are designed to last, while still providing the flexibility each client needs in an ever-changing world.

In addition to his primary role as a developer, Logan also coordinates DevOps for the Tempus development team and serves as its main point-of-contact. His hobbies of gaming and writing have trained him to be an adept communicator who is capable of translating complex concepts to clients and interpreting their requests as technical requirements.

Max is a highly skilled and detail-oriented engineer with a wealth of experience and a boundless enthusiasm for his work. He thrives on tackling complex problems and developing innovative solutions that drive progress and improve outcomes. His areas of expertise span genetics, biology, and programming, reflecting his deep-seated passions and the breadth of his knowledge. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Max is dedicated to delivering superior results and exceeding expectations. Ron’s extensive experience in the field of Software Engineering, Development, and Architecture spans over 32 years, making him a valuable addition to the Tempus Dynamics team. With a particular focus on Web and Database development, he brings to the table a wealth of expertise and knowledge. Renowned for his exceptional problem-solving skills, Ron approaches each challenge with a can-do attitude and has yet to encounter a problem he couldn’t solve throughout his professional journey.

Ron completed his Undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics, which have served as the foundation for his successful career. Along with his proficiency in Web and Database development, Ron possesses an interest in Programming Language and Compiler design, as well as emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning Probability, Statistics, and Data Science.
